Leaving aside the individual in question 

and one's idiosyncrasy, idiocy ,fancy ,or sycophancy, 

one needs to have a clear grasp 

on the ideal, on the need, relevance, context,

significance and concept of brahmacharya, 

without such a comprehensive grasp on it,
one will miserably turns out to be a failure if not a fool 

and wastes his precious life earned after countless births

It is most unfortunate that brahmachari is misunderstood as mere a bachelor,

unmarried, celibate, non-procreating, who is on a vow on controlling the natures urge.

but truly it is none of these,

and one should not use this word loosely without knowing its import truly,

preferably by being a brahmachari himself .

otherwise all kinds of myths assumptions and episode come handy to coin

since,
a ''bachelor'' does not necessarily mean he is pure,
he is just a guy who is not married, legally, socially, formally

but does not automatically mean having no affairs with other gender

---especially in the contemporary context of permissive, provoking inputs ,

visual, audio, food, dress, and unhindered social miscibility,

providing enough chances to fall to any extent

and urge is not an easy matter just to get under mental control with one's wish and will

The truth of brahmacharya is it's a life in brahman consciousness

the brahma charya ashram is the basic foundation for the other three ashrams, 

in this first stage, what is taught is --not--- just sex control
or any such superficial dos and donts

but . one is initiated into the process of contacting the brahman

and to sustain that process of contacting the brahman consciousness on regularly and intensively ,

over a few years thru which one becomes so much cultured spontaneously and naturally ,

that all his out going tendencies get turned inward directed

with such a powerful charm of the experience of the bliss of absolute,

that he naturaly becomes averse to any thing less than bliss ,

and natural urge thus gets sublimated granting him superior spiritual, intellectual and physical powers

In this awakened state, one is free to choose the life of his choice,

whether to continue to be unmarried, or get married and beget children ,

to lead a active dynamic life or a secluded life, as per one's inclination

yet, this state of brahmacharya , the ability to live brahman consciousness remains stable

and continues to mature , irrespective of any activity what so ever

gruhastha does not mean, it is impure or fallen from brahman consciousness 

no, the basis so strong that never he falls, always goes upward and forward in life's goal of mukthi ,

irrespective of his trade profession way of life likes dislikes

these true significance is not known by even greatest intellectuals, 

since they do not know what brahma charya is

since they did not actually learn the way to contact and experience brahman

and living the brahman consciousness in their think talk and walk
