The best of the friends break the friend ship over a silly misunderstanding.

Your own relatives are your greatest competitors .The first comparison/competition is always with your near and dear.

The things which is commonly known looses it value. It may be a life saving things .it could be a great thing to know but since every one knows it it looses its value.

Once you learn something it looses its charm.

Once you have traveled the road the excitement to travel the same road diminishes the next time.

You travel the same road to office every day .what you seems not to observe is it has changed every single day.

you travel the same road every day but the permutation and combination of the people in the place is different every day.

What is not easily available becomes costly.you have to pay more for it.Hence criminals earn more. One who can murder is highly paid.Same way if we start removing the bad things in us.The bad becomes costly by the day.The nature establish the balance always.

The demand is not driven by the price most of the times. The price is driven by the demand most of the time.

Some times we pay the highest price for something we left as useless destructive.

If you have to do a planned destruction of a old home to make a new home you have to pay more.Think you have to pay for destruction.I thought you hated destruction. But you are paying fo r it.

Do not make your death costly and painful. We get another body within thirteen days of death.

Indian-origin scientist develops 'brain' for robots - The Times of India

Indian-origin scientist develops 'brain' for robots - The Times of IndiaWASHINGTON: Robot brain! An Indian-origin scientist in US has developed a new feedback system that allows robots to operate with minimal supervision and could eventually lead to autonomous machines.

The system may lead to robots that think for themselves, learn, adapt and use active critique to work unsupervised.

Developed by Dr Jagannathan Sarangapani, fromMissouri University of Science and Technology, the system makes use of current formation moving robots and introduces a fault-tolerant control design to improve the probability of completing a set task.

The new feedback system will allow a "follower" robot to take over as the "leader" robot if the original leader has a system or mechanical failure.

In a leader/follower formation, the lead robot is controlled through a nonholonomic system, meaning that the trajectory is set in advance, and the followers are tracing the same pattern that the leader takes by using sonar.

When a problem occurs and roles need to change to continue, the fault tolerant control system comes into use.

It uses reinforcement learning and active critique, both inspired by behaviourist psychology to show how machines act in environments to maximise work rate, to help the new, unmanned robot to estimate its new course.

Without this, the follower wouldn't have a path to follow and the task would fail.

"Imagine you have one operator in an office controlling 10 bulldozers remotely," said Sarangapani, the William A Rutledge - Emerson Electric Company's distinguished professor in Electrical Engineering at S&T.

"In the event that the lead one suffers a mechanical problem, this hardware allows the work to continue," said Sarangapani.

The innovative research can be applied to robotic security surveillance, mining and even aerial manoeuvring.

Sarangapani believes that the research is most important for aerial vehicles. When a helicopter is in flight, faults can now be detected and accommodated.

This means that instead of a catastrophic failure resulting in a potentially fatal crash, the system can allow for a better chance for an emergency landing instead.

The fault tolerance would notice a problem and essentially shut down that malfunctioning part while maintaining slight control of the overall vehicle.

"The end goal is to push robotics to the next level," said Sarangapani.

"I want robots to think for themselves, to learn, adapt and use active critique to work unsupervised. A self-aware robot will eventually be here, it is just a matter of time, he said.

Story of Lord Vithal at Pandarpur – Story of Panduranga Vittala ~ Hindu Blog

Story of Lord Vithal at Pandarpur – Story of Panduranga Vittala ~ Hindu BlogLord Vithal, or Panduranga Vittala, is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu and is worshipped in the world famous Pandarpur Rukmini Vithal Temple at Pandarpur in Maharashtra. There is an interesting story that explains about the incarnation of Lord Vithal at Pandarpur.

Once a devotee named Pundalik was traveling to Kashi and reached the Ashram of Saint Kukkut. He asked the sage the way to Kashi. Kukkut Rishi said that he did not know the way to Kashi and he had never been there.

Pundalik made fun of Kukkut Rishi for not knowing the way to Kashi and said that a holy man like him should have already visited Kashi. Kukkut Rishi kept quiet and did not bother to answer Pundalik.
During the course of the night Pundalik heard the voice of women in the ashram.

He came to out to look what was happening and saw that three women were sprinkling water on the Ashram and cleaning it.

On enquiry, Pundalik found out that the three women were Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswathi and they had come to clean the Ashram of Kukkut Rishi. Pundalik wondered how a saint like Kukkut who had not visited Kashi was such holy and powerful that the three holy rivers came down to purify his ashram.

The three women told Pundalik that piety, spirituality and devotion does not depend on visiting holy places or doing costly rituals but in performing one’s karma.

The three women told him that Sage Kukkut had served and nursed his parents most faithfully and devoted all his life to that one aim. He had thus accumulated Punya enough to earn Moksha and bring us down to earth to serve him.

Pundalik had left is old parents at home and was visiting Kashi to gain moksha and blessing. He did not bother to entertain the request of his parents to take them also to Kashi.

Pundalik now understood his mistake and rushed back home and took his parents to Kashi and on return started looking after them. From then onwards the care of his old mother and father came before everything else.

Lord Krishna was moved by the sincere devotion of Pundalik towards his parents. He decided to visit Pundalik’s home.

When Lord Krishna visited Pundalik’s home he was serving food to his old parents.

Pundalik saw the Lord at his door but his devotion to his parents was so intense that he wanted to finish his duties first and then attend to his guest. Pundalik had reached such a stage that it didn’t matter to him whether the guest was a mere mortal or God. All that mattered was service to his parents.

Pundalik gave Lord Krishna a brick to stand on and asked Him to wait until his duty was completed. Lord Krishna was moved by the devotion of Pundalik to his parents and waited for him patiently.

Later when Pundalik came out he asked the Lord forgiveness for making Him wait. Lord Krishna blessed him and asked him to ask a boon.

Pundalik said what more can I ask when the Lord himself waits for me.

When Lord Krishna insisted that he ask a boon, Pundalik asked that the Lord should remain on earth and bless and take care of His devotees.

Lord Krishna agreed to stay there and is known as Vithoba or the Lord who stands on a brick. This form of the Lord Vithoba is Swayambhu which means that His idol has not been carved or etched but it came into existence on its own.

The Saint’s Transformation! | Life School Pune

The Saint’s Transformation! | Life School Pune The young sannyasi Kaushika who is an expert in the Vedas goes to a forest, where he meditates and practices spiritual austerities for a long time. One day while sitting under a tree, dry leaves fall on his head because of a fight between a crow and a crane. Kaushika’s meditation is broken. This makes him angry. The angry sannyasi Kaushika through his austerities had developed yogic powers and burnt the birds with merely his look of ‘anger’. He sees the power he has harnessed and his arrogance increases.
Shortly thereafter when he feels hungry, he goes to the nearby village for Bhiksha (begging for food). Here, he comes across a housewife who was nursing her sick husband. She requests the sannyasi to wait. To this, the sannyasi Kaushika thinks, “You wretched woman, how dare you make me wait! You do not know my power yet. I can burn you to death”, to which the housewife says that she is neither a crow nor a crane, to be burnt. She also calmly adds, his anger cannot touch her as his anger was not born out of righteousness but born out of arrogance. She added to his stunned silence by remarking, “his knowledge of the Vedas has been wasted as he has not yet mastered himself.”
Kaushika feels insulted and humiliated at the same time. He also feels his arrogance drained away. Not able to control his curiosity he asks her how she came to know about the birds? How she could read his thoughts? How she had developed this power? What are the austerities she had performed? How long had she meditated? Who was her guru?
The housewife said that she did not practice any austerities. By doing her duty with cheerfulness and wholeheartedness, she had become illuminated and thus could read his thoughts. She redirects him to a dharma-vyadha (meaning, the righteous butcher) in the town of Mithila and says that the dharma-vyadha would answer all his questions on dharma. The sannyasi Kaushika is shocked at her suggestion. He is a brahmin. How can he go to a person of a lower caste and that too a butcher! Above all, how could the butcher teach him, a brahmin, about ‘Duty’.
Overcoming his initial hesitation and reluctance, he goes to see the vyadha. The surprised sannyasi asks the vyadha as to how he could became illumined by doing a “filthy, ugly work”. The vyadha advises, “no duty is ugly, no duty is impure” It is only the way in which the work is done, determines its worth. Kaushika listens to the Dharam-vyadha’s teachings, which is referred to asVyadha Gita—and puts them into practice.

Japan to be nuclear free as last reactor switched off
The move will leave the world's third largest economy without atomic energy for the second time since the Fukushima crisis erupted in March 2011.
TOKYO: Japan is to start the process of switching off its last working nuclear reactor on Sunday for a scheduled inspection with no restart in sight due to public hostility towards atomic power.

The move will leave the world's third largest economy without atomic energy for the second time since the Fukushima crisis erupted in March 2011.

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has openly supported the use of nuclear energy, but the public has remained largely opposed to it for fears of possible serious accidents following the world's worst atomic disaster since Chernobyl in 1986.

Kansai Electric Power will gradually take offline the No. 4 reactor at its Oi nuclear plant in Fukui prefecture in western Japan.

The work is scheduled to start Sunday evening, with the reactor expected to stop power generation after several hours before coming to a complete stop early Monday, according to the utility.

Japan previously was without any nuclear energy in May 2012, when all of the country's 50 commercial reactors had stopped for scheduled checkups, with utilities unable to restart them due to public opposition.

It was the first time in more than four decades that Japan was without nuclear power.

Last year, government officials and utilities voiced concerns that Japan could experience major blackouts without nuclear power, particularly in the western region that relied heavily on nuclear energy.

Their fears proved to be unfounded but the government quickly gave approval for Kansai Electric to restart No. 3 and No. 4 reactors at the Oi plant, arguing that nuclear energy was necessary to meet increased electricity demand during the winter.

The two reactors came fully online in August 2012, while other reactors have remained idled all along.

Japan has turned to pricey fossil-fuel alternatives to fill the gap left by the shutdown of atomic plants, which had supplied about one-third of the resource-poor nation's electricity before the Fukushima disaster.

Utilities have raised power fees to cover increased fuel costs for thermal plants while reactors remain offline.

Radiation was spread over homes and farmland in a large area of northern Japan when the massive tsunami swamped cooling systems at Fukushima Daiichi on March 11, 2011.

No one is officially recorded as having died as a direct result of the meltdowns at Fukushima, but tens of thousands of people were evacuated and many remain so, with some areas expected to be uninhabitable for decades.
